We want the MuMu’s website to be usable by as many people as possible, whatever device or assistive technology you use. We aim to improve the accessibility and usability of the website on an ongoing basis.
What we have built in
- Keyboard navigation: menus, buttons, forms and the pickup order flow can be operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline on every control.
- Readable typography: clear type at comfortable sizes, with body text that stays large on phones.
- Contrast: text and controls are checked against their backgrounds so they stay legible, including on the dark green sections.
- Form labels: every field in the pickup form and the contact form has a visible label, and errors are explained next to the field they relate to.
- Alternative text: product and store photographs carry descriptive alternative text where it adds meaning; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Mobile and responsive layout: the website adapts to phone and tablet screens, with touch targets sized for fingers.
- No motion-heavy effects, and no content that flashes.
Where we are still working
Parts of the website are new and we review them as we go. Some third-party features, such as embedded maps, may not meet the same standard as the rest of the site.
